Indigenous Sovereignty & Saturn’s Lessons on Structure
As we step into the first week of Aquarius season, we shake off Capricorn’s rigid structures and welcome the fresh air of change. Saturn, the planet of discipline, has moved through both Capricorn and Aquarius in recent years, teaching us how to build and how to break free. This same tension exists in Indigenous sovereignty—between colonial control and the fight for self-determination. The Navajo and Puebloan peoples have always understood that true governance comes from balance. The Diné (Navajo) principle of Hózhó teaches harmony in leadership, land, and life. Puebloan governance, rooted in communal consensus, has lasted for centuries because it prioritizes the collective over the individual. Colonization disrupted these structures, replacing them with systems that serve profit over people. One probable solution? Decolonizing governance by integrating Indigenous decision-making models into modern policy. Tribal nations continue to push for land back movements, education reform, and self-governance. But to support this, we need collective energy. If you have Aquarius placements in your natal chart, you may feel called to challenge outdated systems. This is the time to engage. Mindfulness and spiritual awakening guide us toward these bridges. Journey Towards V is more than a movement—it’s an invitation to co-create a world where sovereignty isn’t a fight, but a reality. (A red speck appears and vanishes—was it ever really there?)
